About us

Our History – With Heart and Tradition
Our family’s culinary journey began in 1906 at the historic “Reichsadler,” a stately building dating back to 1842. As early as 1872, the first beer was served here at what was then known as the “Zum Reichsadler” tavern – a sign that hospitality has long been at home within these walls.
Josef Reinhardt, our great-grandfather, took over the business in 1906 as a side venture and, with hard work, warmth, and a love of hospitality, laid the foundation for what makes our establishment what it is today. After his death in 1956, his son Peter and his mother Maria continued to run the inn with great dedication – for decades, through numerous renovations, new ideas, and the desire to unite tradition and the spirit of the times under one roof.
Under their leadership, the “Reichsadler” remained an integral part of the community until 2015 – a gathering place for locals and guests alike.
Since 2016, Christian Reinhardt – representing the third generation—has been at the helm. With a fresh perspective, new touches, and great respect for what has come before, he continues to run the hotel and restaurant – in a family-oriented, warm, and down-to-earth manner. Just as it has always been here: a place where you arrive, feel at home – and are happy to return.
